North East Area Council Meeting at the Folk Hall, New Earswick, York YO32 4AQ 2pm.

Saturday 16 March
Judges Refresher Day at the Recreational Hall, Wiggington, York YO32 2PL. Tutor: Jackie Charnock (Mercia & North Wales Area). Open to all Judges and Competitors who wish to learn more. 10am arrive, 10:30 start, 15:30 (approx) finish. An application form can be downloaded here

Saturday 23 March
Education Day at Wiggington Recreational Hall, Wiggington, York YO32 2PL. Tutor: Mark Entwistle. Coffee from 10, starts 10:30. Luncheon will be provided. Attendance at this day (together with the one in September) is FREE to members of the Educational Association. Contact Carole Jarvis or any member of the Executive for further details.

Members Day at Joseph Rowntree School, New Earswick, York. YO32 4BZ. Doors open 10:00am. The morning speaker will be Glennis Whyte from the Treasurers House in York who has some fascinating stories to tell about the house and its occupants, the Green family, who had royal connections. After lunch the demonstrator is Katherine Kear from Gloucestershire who will take us on a walk to her Little Green Orchard. Demonstrators Mock Test at Stockton on the Forest Village Hall, Sandy Lane, Stockton on the Forest, York YO32 9UR. Initially, tickets (£3 each) are ONLY available at the April and July Council meetings and are limited to 2 per club (more may be released later in the year)

Area Annual General Meeting at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Northgate, Wakefield WF1 3QX. All members are welcome to attend the AGM in the morning (free of charge). Tickets for the Luncheon and afternoon demonstration by Ian Lloyd “Nature’s Christmas” will be on sale at the July and October Council meetings.
